Plumbing emergencies don't wait for business hours. Burst pipes, sewer backups, water heater failures, no-hot-water on a winter morning — we run live dispatch 24/7 and average 30-90 minutes to most Valley addresses.
What counts as a plumbing emergency
Active water that you can't stop. Burst supply line, failed angle stop you can't close, water heater discharging from the relief valve, slab leak surfacing through tile.
Sewage backup. Standing dirty water in any drain, especially in a tub or floor drain on the lowest level. This is a health hazard and rises fast.
No water at all in the home with no scheduled outage. Failed pressure regulator or main shutoff that has stuck closed.
Gas smell near the water heater or any plumbing fixture. Leave the home, call the gas utility first, then call us once they shut off.
No hot water on a cold morning with kids or vulnerable family members in the home. Not technically dangerous but it is treated as urgent.
What to do before we arrive
Find your main water shutoff. It's usually at the front of the house near the sidewalk, in a green meter box, or at the side of the house where the supply enters. Turn it clockwise to close. If you can't find it, call us — we can talk you through it on the phone in two minutes.
For sewer backups, stop running water in the entire home. Every flush, every dishwasher cycle, every washer load adds to the overflow. Lift toilet lids and turn the supply valve at the wall to off if anyone might flush by reflex.
For gas smells, leave the home immediately. Don't switch lights on or off, don't use the phone inside. Call from the sidewalk.
Our response
Live dispatch 24/7, including holidays. The phone gets answered by a person, not a recording. We confirm your address and the nature of the emergency, give you an honest ETA, and start preparing the truck.
We carry parts on every truck for the most common emergencies: angle stops, pressure regulators, water heater elements, supply line, soldering kit, full rooter setup, hydrojet on the larger truck.
For burst pipes, we stop the leak, dry the area enough to inspect, and quote the repair on the spot. Most burst pipes are fixable in the same visit.
For sewer backups, we clear the line, inspect with the camera, and tell you whether the line is clear-and-stable or needs follow-up hydrojetting / lining / replacement.
Pricing guidance
After-hours trip charge: $95-$165 depending on hour and distance. Standard emergency repair pricing applies on top of the trip charge — we still quote a flat rate before starting work. Holidays carry a higher trip charge. We waive the trip charge if you proceed with a major repair (re-pipe, sewer replacement) on the same visit.
Frequently asked questions
- How fast can you actually get here?
- For most of Reseda, Northridge, Tarzana, Encino, Canoga Park, and Sherman Oaks: 30-60 minutes. For Valley edges (West Hills, Granada Hills, Van Nuys far side): 60-90 minutes. Call and we will give you an honest ETA.
- Are you really 24/7?
- Yes. The phone answers any hour, including 2 AM Christmas morning. The dispatcher is local; the truck is local; the response is real.
- What if I had an emergency repair done by another plumber but it failed?
- Call us. We diagnose first, tell you what we see, and quote a fix. We have helped many customers after another company left a problem worse than they found it.
